We love living and working and South West and often make the most of our location in our curriculum.
As part of our induction and enrichment activity this year we took the 1st year students on an overnight trip to the beautiful town of St. Ives, a great opportunity for students to get to know each other and familiarise themselves with working on a location fashion shoot. The cohort had to organise and plan every aspect of the shoot, from devising a concept, sourcing the clothing, booking the equipment and choosing suitable locations. Some of the groups made full use of the beautiful scenery in and around the harbour and surrounding beaches. One group used their initiative by contacting the local cinema to carry out a themed indoor shoot.
The shoot was extremely successful, each student group approaching the brief in different ways, producing a series of images that showcased their production skills. In addition to the photographic experience gained, the cohort had the opportunity to develop team building skills, learning how to work in creative teams.
Take a look at some of the images produced below.
